UN Announces Suspension of Aid for Afghan Refugees from Neighboring Countries
SadaNews - The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees announced that it has been forced to suspend aid for Afghan refugees displaced from neighboring countries after the "Taliban" government prohibited its female employees from working.
The commission stated: "On September 9, based on the instructions of the (Taliban) authorities to prevent Afghan female employees from working, the High Commissioner for Human Rights had to halt activities in its centers for distributing financial aid across Afghanistan."
In another statement, the international organization said that its female employees were prevented from accessing work centers in several locations throughout the country this week.
