Sheikh Arrives in Cairo to Discuss Diplomatic and Political Coordination Between the Palestinian and Egyptian Leaderships
SadaNews - Hussein Sheikh, the Deputy President of the State of Palestine, arrived in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, this evening, Tuesday, for an official visit to hold consultations with the Egyptian leadership.
The visit is focusing on ways to coordinate Palestinian-Egyptian efforts on several issues, primarily the ceasefire, the revitalization and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, in addition to addressing the increasing assaults by settlers in the West Bank.
The discussions are also expected to address enhancing political and diplomatic coordination between the two sides, and follow up on the efforts being made in the United Nations meetings scheduled for September 22 concerning the recognition of the Palestinian state, which contributes to supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and protecting the Palestinian cause at both regional and international levels.
