The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Welcomes Belgium's Announcement of Its Intention to Recognize the State of Palestine
SadaNews - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the announcement by Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maxime Prévot, regarding his country's intention to recognize the State of Palestine during the United Nations session, considering it a step in line with international law and UN resolutions, and to protect the two-state solution and support the achievement of peace.
The Ministry called on countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to swiftly take action to announce their recognition, and to intensify tangible efforts to stop crimes of genocide, displacement, starvation, and annexation, and to open a genuine political path to resolve the conflict and end the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine.
