Occupation Arrests Hebron Mayor and Tightens Military Measures in the Governorate
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces arrested the Mayor of Hebron, Tayseer Abu Sneineh, today, Tuesday, along with a young man from the town of Yatta south of Hebron, as part of a wide-ranging incursion campaign that targeted different areas of the governorate.
Local sources reported that the occupation forces raided the mayor's home in the city of Hebron, searched it after breaking down the doors and tampering with its contents, before arresting him and transferring him to an unknown location.
The occupation forces also arrested a citizen from Yatta, Yazan Abu Qubeita, after raiding his house, searching it, and tampering with its contents.
In a related context, the occupation forces stormed the towns of Halhul and Idna west of Hebron, detaining dozens of citizens after raiding their homes and subjecting them to field interrogation.
Moreover, the occupation forces tightened their military measures in the Hebron governorate, setting up several checkpoints at the entrances of the city, its towns, villages, and camps, and closing a number of main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earthen barriers.
