
Shanghai Organization Strongly Condemns Damage to Civilians in Gaza
SadaNews - The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which includes ten countries, including China, India, Russia, and Iran, announced on Monday that it "strongly condemns actions that result in civilian casualties and humanitarian disasters" in the Gaza Strip, and called for a comprehensive ceasefire.
The organization also "strongly" condemned the attacks carried out by Israel in Iran in June, following its summit in Tianjin, northern China, in a statement published by the New China News Agency, "Xinhua".
It confirmed that "member states express their grave concern regarding the escalation of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and strongly condemn actions that cause civilian casualties and humanitarian disasters in Gaza, calling for a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire and ensuring unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid".
It added that it "strongly condemns the Israeli and American aggression in June 2025 against Iran, which targeted civilian nuclear infrastructure, resulted in casualties, and violated international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter".
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization was founded in 2001 and includes ten countries: China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Belarus.
