Egypt National Team Announces Squad for September Camp in Preparation for 2026 World Cup Qualifiers
SadaNews - The coaching staff of the Egypt national team, led by Hossam Hassan, has announced the names of the players joining the team's camp in preparation for the matches against Ethiopia and Burkina Faso in rounds 7-8 of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Egypt national team camp starts today, September 1, at the "Cairo International Stadium" in preparation for the matches against Ethiopia and Burkina Faso in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
The Pharaohs are scheduled to meet the Ethiopian national team on September 5 before traveling to Burkina Faso for the match set for September 9 in the eighth round of the qualifiers.
The Egypt national team is in Group A alongside the teams of Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Djibouti, Sierra Leone, and Guinea-Bissau.
Egypt currently leads the group with 16 points after 6 matches in the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
