Cuba Condemns Washington's Decision to Deny Visas to Palestinian Officials
SadaNews: The Cuban government criticized the United States' decision to deny Palestinian officials from participating in the United Nations General Assembly in September.
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez stated that Washington is violating the UN Headquarters Agreement and demonstrates "full support and complicity" with Israel's "hostile policy."
The U.S. State Department had announced its intention to revoke and deny visas for a delegation from the Palestinian Authority and the Palestine Liberation Organization, including President Mahmoud Abbas.
The Palestinian authorities described the decision as a violation of international law, demanding that Washington retract its decision and allow the officials to participate in UN meetings.
