Hebron Governor: Our Tribes Form the Immunity and Protection for the National Project

SadaNews - The Governor of Hebron, Khaled Dudin, confirmed on Saturday that all tribes in the governorate reject the discussions being conducted by the occupation government to separate the governorate from the national geography and hand it over to tribal rule.

In a statement, Governor Dudin stated that all tribes form the immunity and protection for the national project, and they are an integral part of the Palestinian national system. These tribes have made significant sacrifices of martyrs, prisoners, and wounded, and have stood as a strong barrier against the occupation and all conspiracies targeting our national cause through all stages of the conflict.

He added: Those who bet on the tribes of Hebron to be a means or tool to reaffirm the occupation are mistaken, for Hebron, with all its tribal and social components, has spoken clearly: Palestine is for Palestinians, in land, history, and heritage. Its tribes have affirmed their absolute bias towards their martyrs and their cause, according to his statement.

The statement continued: Hebron is an essential part of the Palestinian national and geographical system and one of the pillars of the national project. No one can sever it or detach it from its national context. Hebron has always been a symbol of the national project and will remain so.

Dudin continued in his statement: The occupation must learn from its previous experiences in attempts to divert the national compass, which have all shattered against the historical national stance of the people of Hebron, who assert that the only solution lies in establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, led by its legitimate and sole representative, the Palestine Liberation Organization.

He called on all families and tribes through their councils and dignitaries to confront and prevent the use of their names in this conspiracy and to avoid tarnishing their bright history with the sacrifices of their martyrs, wounded, and prisoners. He urged all residents of the governorate to reject conflicts and fortify the internal front and national unity to confront all conspiracies targeting the national cause.
