Sheikh Discusses Political Developments and Preparations for the Next Phase with the British Consul General

SadaNews - Today, Wednesday, the Vice President of the State of Palestine, Mr. Hussein Sheikh, met with the British Consul General, Ms. Helen Winterton.

During the meeting, the latest political developments were discussed in light of the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip and the escalating attacks by settlers in the West Bank.

Sheikh emphasized the importance of Britain's recognition of the State of Palestine and the necessity of working to implement international legitimacy resolutions and the provisions of international law to ensure an end to the occupation and achieve just peace.

The two sides also discussed the ongoing preparations for President Mahmoud Abbas's anticipated visit to the United Kingdom, in addition to the specific preparations for the New York conference scheduled for next September.
