Epstein's Partner: I Never Saw Trump in Any Inappropriate Situation

SadaNews - The U.S. Department of Justice published on Friday transcripts and audio recordings of an interview conducted last month with Ghislaine Maxwell, the former partner of the late Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of trafficking underage girls.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, who conducted the interview, stated, "Except for the names of the victims, every word was included. Nothing was deleted. Nothing was concealed."

Blanche, who is a former personal lawyer to President Donald Trump, added on the platform "X" that the release of hundreds of pages of transcripts and audio recordings was done "in the interest of transparency."

Epstein, a wealthy financier with connections to high-profile figures, died in a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking of minors.

Maxwell, 63, is serving a 20-year prison sentence after being convicted in 2021 of enticing minors for Epstein's benefit.

She was transferred from a prison in Florida to a less stringent facility in Texas following the interview with Blanche.

Trump supporters have been closely following the Epstein case for years and expressed their frustration after the FBI and the Department of Justice confirmed in July that Epstein committed suicide in his cell, that he did not extort any prominent figures, and that he did not keep a "client list."

Maxwell expressed her belief that Epstein did not commit suicide in prison, stating, "I don't believe he died by suicide."

Trump, 79, was a friend of Epstein, and the Wall Street Journal reported that the president's name was among hundreds found during the Justice Department's review of Epstein's files, despite the absence of evidence supporting any criminal activity on his part.

In her interview with Blanche, Maxwell mentioned that Trump and Epstein were "friendly, as people are at social events," adding, "I don't think they were close friends."

She continued, "In fact, I never saw the president at any massage session. I never saw the president in any inappropriate situation whatsoever. The president was never inappropriate with anyone."

She also described Trump as being "a respectful man in all respects" during the time they spent together in the early 1990s.

She added, "Trump was always friendly and very nice to me. I just want to say that I admire his remarkable achievement in holding the presidency now."

In turn, a committee in the House of Representatives requested Epstein's files, and they received the first batch of records on Friday from the Department of Justice.

Prominent Republican Congressman James Comer announced that the Department of Justice provided "thousands of pages of documents related to Epstein" to the House committee.

However, the lawmaker did not disclose the contents of these documents.
