Organization of Islamic Cooperation Condemns Statements by the Occupation Government's Prime Minister
SadaNews - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemns the provocative visit made by the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation government to the settlement of "Ofra" established in the occupied West Bank, and the accompanying racist statements in which he affirmed the "importance of preserving settlement and adhering to the land of Israel" and that he would "do everything to ensure the continuation of adherence to the land of Israel, and to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state."
The organization confirms that this represents a continuation of the blatant Israeli violations of international law and United Nations resolutions, especially Security Council Resolution (2334) and the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which affirm the illegality of the occupation and Israeli settlement and the necessity to end it immediately.
The organization also affirms that this visit and the aggressive statements embody Israel's expansionist and colonial plans and intentions, its insistence on challenging the will of the international community, and undermining all efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the region, based on the two-state solution.
The organization demands that the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, bear its responsibilities towards ending the Israeli colonial occupation and settlement and providing international protection for the Palestinian people.
