Amnesty International Accuses Israel of Deliberate Starvation Policy in Gaza
SadaNews - Amnesty International accused Israel today, Monday, of following a "deliberate" starvation policy in Gaza.
The organization warned, in a report for the United Nations and non-governmental organizations, that the Gaza Strip is on the brink of imminent famine.
It was reported that after interviewing 19 Palestinian displaced individuals and two medical staff members treating children suffering from malnutrition, that "Israel is carrying out a deliberate starvation campaign in the occupied Gaza Strip, systematically destroying the health, safety, and social fabric of Palestinian life."
The organization clarified that the testimonies it collected confirm that "the deliberate result of plans and policies designed and implemented by Israel over the last 22 months imposes on the Palestinians of Gaza calculated living conditions that lead to their physical destruction, and this is part of the ongoing genocide being carried out by Israel against the Palestinians in Gaza."
Amnesty had previously accused Israel in April of committing "genocide since October 7, 2023."
