Death Toll from Seasonal Rains in Pakistan Rises to 320 in Two Days
SadaNews - The death toll from the floods in northwestern Pakistan has risen to 320, following the recovery of 63 more bodies by rescue workers.
Mohammad Suhail, a spokesperson for emergency services, stated that hundreds of rescue workers are still searching for survivors in the mountainous area of Buner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The heavy rains and strong storms caused widespread flooding yesterday (Friday), sweeping away many homes in their path.
The regional disaster management authority reported that at least 351 people have died in rain-related incidents this week across various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the northern Gilgit-Baltistan region.
