Kazem Al Saher Wears the Palestinian Kufiya During His Concert in Amman
SadaNews - The concert of Iraqi artist Kazem Al Saher witnessed a great deal of audience interaction, with remarkable moments trending on social media right after its conclusion, as it was held at the exhibition grounds on the airport road in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
Social media users circulated a video clip showing Kazem Al Saher on stage as he picked up the Palestinian kufiya thrown to him by an attendee during the concert, which was adorned with the Palestinian flag.
Kazem Al Saher draped the Palestinian kufiya over his shoulders as a sign of pride, amid cheers and applause from the audience, before placing it next to the musicians and continuing to sing.
Social media users reacted strongly to a humanitarian gesture from Kazem Al Saher during the concert, as he was seen offering water to his band members and opening a bottle for the maestro who accompanied him in singing, after noticing that there was no water bottle nearby them, with only one next to him.
Netizens praised Kazem Al Saher's actions and his respect for the musicians in his ensemble, with one commenter writing: "The ethics of the emperor and his gentleness and endless kindness, where can we find a heart better than this?".
It is noteworthy that Kazem Al Saher paused his concerts for months after the outbreak of the war on Gaza in October 2023 as a show of solidarity with the Palestinian cause and the tragic conditions faced by the residents of the Gaza Strip. He released the song "Hold Your Fire", which is a direct call for a ceasefire in Gaza in collaboration with the United Nations Classical Music Association, announcing that its proceeds would be directed to support humanitarian activities through UNRWA.
Kazem Al Saher revealed for the first time a song titled "No, My Friend", which was released in 1990, noting that the original version was an hour and ten minutes long. However, during the recording, he decided to cut out a whole segment which he did not record, but kept it, reducing the song's length to 50 minutes now.
Kazem Al Saher pointed out that at the beginning of his artistic career, composers were astonished by his presentation of a song longer than an hour. However, he praised the way it was composed, saying: "But after composing it, the musicians excelled in the melody".
It is worth mentioning that tickets for Kazem Al Saher's concert sold out more than a week before the event, according to the organizing body 165 ENTERTAINMENT, amidst a wide public turnout.
Kazem Al Saher continues his artistic tour with an expected appearance for the audience of the city of Jeddah on Thursday evening, August 21, at the "Abadi Al-Johar Arena", as part of the Jeddah Season 2025 concert program.
The Iraqi star is also preparing for a public concert in the Omani capital Muscat on October 3 at the Al-Irfan Theatre at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, as part of his "Now and Then" world tour.
