Jordan Hosts Syrian-American Meeting to Discuss Support for Damascus
SadaNews - The Jordanian Foreign Ministry announced in a statement on Sunday that Jordan will host a Jordanian-Syrian-American meeting on Tuesday to discuss ways to support the reconstruction of Syria.
The ministry added that the meeting will be attended by Syrian Foreign Minister Ahed Hassan al-Shaibani, U.S. Special Envoy to Syria Thomas Barak, and the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey.
The meeting, which will also include representatives from relevant institutions in the three countries, follows the discussions hosted by Amman on July 19 to address stabilizing the ceasefire in the Sweida province in southern Syria and resolving the crisis there.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi will also hold bilateral talks with al-Shaibani and Barak.
