American consulting firm prepares model for relocating Gaza residents to Somalia
SadaNews - Sources informed the British newspaper "Financial Times" that "Boston Consulting Group," a US-based consulting firm, has prepared a model for relocating Palestinians from Gaza to Somalia and "Somaliland."
According to the report, the consultants of "Boston Consulting Group" developed the model for a group of Israeli businessmen who were formulating plans to rebuild Gaza after the war with "Hamas."
The model included a presentation projecting that 25 percent of Gaza's population would wish to leave the enclave, and that the majority would not want to return.
A knowledgeable source told the British newspaper "The Times": "By accepting Gaza residents who move temporarily and voluntarily, the state will receive a population boost that will bring significant economic benefits." He added: "However, the choice of countries in the model was not based on specific discussions; the aim was to understand the economic issues related to the options presented by President (Donald) Trump."
"Boston Consulting Group" contributed to the establishment of the controversial "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation," supported by the US and Israel, which manages aid distribution sites in the enclave.
Earlier this year, Trump proposed plans for relocating Gaza residents to third countries, at a time when the enclave was being developed to become the "Riviera of the Middle East," according to Trump's description.
Despite no clear progress being made on these plans, they have received support from some Israeli ministers and faced severe condemnation from the Arab world and Western countries.
