Agencies: Russia is Considering Proposals for a Settlement with Trump Regarding Ukraine

SadaNews Translation - The international news agency Bloomberg reported on Tuesday evening that the Kremlin is considering several proposals to reach a settlement with U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the Ukraine issue, in order to avoid the imposition of secondary sanctions on countries purchasing oil from Russia, despite Putin’s rejection to move towards a comprehensive ceasefire.

Among the concessions being considered by the Kremlin is a ceasefire in the air in Ukraine, which would end missile and drone attacks in the inland areas of Ukraine, as reported by SadaNews.

These proposals are being discussed ahead of U.S. envoy Steve Whitehouse's visit to Moscow tomorrow, where it is believed to be the last opportunity to prevent Trump from taking tough measures.

At the same time, Moscow clarified that Putin does not agree to end the war as long as he realizes that his army continues to advance on the Ukrainian front.

Reuters reported from Kremlin sources that Putin questions the viability of Trump's warning to end the war in Ukraine in the coming days.

Putin believes that with Russia's advancement in the battle, the effectiveness of the sanctions imposed on it becomes limited.

On one hand, Putin does not want to provoke Trump, expressing concern over the deterioration of relations with him, but sources confirm that his wartime objectives take precedence, and as long as Russia continues its advance in battle, he feels that the time has not yet come to end the war. Reports also indicated that Russia agreed to negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul to convince Trump that it does not oppose peace.

The Russian army has informed Putin that the front in Ukraine "is expected to start collapsing" within two to three months.
