Martyr and 4 Injuries from an Israeli Airstrike on the City of Khiyam in Southern Lebanon
SadaNews - The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced this evening, Monday, the martyrdom of one person and the injury of four others from an airstrike carried out by the Israeli occupation on the city of Khiyam in southern Lebanon.
The ministry stated that "the Israeli occupation's airstrike on the town of Khiyam resulted in one martyr" and the injury of four others with various wounds, according to the National News Agency.
On October 8, 2023, Israel launched an aggression against Lebanon that escalated into a large-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in over 4,000 martyrs and nearly 17,000 injuries.
On November 27, 2024, a ceasefire agreement came into effect, but Israel violated it more than 3,000 times, resulting in 258 martyrs and 562 injuries, according to official data.
The Israeli occupation army executed a partial withdrawal from southern Lebanon, while continuing to occupy 5 Lebanese hills it seized during the recent war, in addition to other areas it has occupied for decades.
