SadaNews - Today, Monday, the voting process in the 2025 Senate elections has started in Egypt, which is considered the second legislative chamber in the country alongside the House of Representatives, according to news sources.

The elections will take place over two days, Monday and Tuesday, to select only 200 members from a total of 300 members in the Senate, while the Egyptian president appoints 100 members of the council.

In the two-day election, 424 candidates are competing for 100 seats designated for the individual system, including 183 independent candidates and 241 others representing various political parties.
