SadaNews - A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck parts of northern Pakistan, with no reports of casualties, according to the German News Agency.
The Pakistani newspaper "The News" reported from the relevant seismic monitoring centers that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 114 kilometers today (Saturday).
Residents of Peshawar and neighboring areas, including the Swat, Malakand, Dir, Mardan, Haripur, and Abbottabad regions, felt the earthquake.
The National Seismic Monitoring Center of the Pakistan Meteorological Department in Islamabad reported that the earthquake occurred at 2:03 AM.
The earthquake that occurred today is the latest in a series of earthquakes that have hit northern Pakistan in recent months, most of which are linked to the Hindu Kush region in Afghanistan.
