Clans of Gaza Reject U.S. Aid Under Israeli Cover, Describe It as "Drenched in Blood"

SadaNews - The Gaza clan assembly announced today, Friday, its outright rejection of dealing with aid distribution centers supervised by Israel and the United States within the Gaza Strip, asserting that the aid provided is "drenched in blood".

The head of the Supreme Council for Clan Affairs, Hasni Salman Al-Maghni, stated in a press conference held in Gaza that "the aid distributed under the supervision of Israel and the United States is soaked with the blood of martyrs," adding that "we sacrifice between 80 to 90 martyrs daily in exchange for a box of aid".

This comes concurrently with the visit of the U.S. envoy to the Middle East, Steve Weitzman, to one of the aid distribution centers belonging to the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" in the city of Rafah, in the southern part of the Strip.

In this context, Al-Maghni invited Weitzman to "come to Gaza and witness the devastation and famine left by Israel, to see with his own eyes the tents and poverty, and the thousands of elderly, women, and children who are weakened by hunger and malnutrition, living under the blazing summer sun without shelter, water, or food".

He emphasized that the aid entering Gaza "does not reach those who deserve it".

He added: "Only the strong thieves who steal aid in coordination with the occupation can reach the distant distribution centers. The elderly and the frail cannot reach them and find no one to assist them".

He continued: "We reject this humiliating method; we want to live with dignity like the rest of the peoples of the earth. We want to rebuild our homeland and achieve true human dignity, not conditional and humiliating aid".

Al-Maghni warned of the worsening tragedy in the sector, saying: "Our children are in the streets naked and hungry, with no water, food, or light. We witness slow death every day while the world watches in silence".

He pointed out that "the aid that is said to have entered Gaza has benefited no one, and hunger remains hunger".

Al-Maghni appealed to all the free people of the world and those with a conscience, saying: "We raise our voices high... Come and witness hunger and humiliation with your own eyes. We demand a stand of conscience and honesty with the people of Gaza who are being slowly slaughtered every day".

These statements come amid an unprecedented humanitarian deterioration in the sector, where the Ministry of Health announced the death of 154 people, including 89 children, due to famine and malnutrition since the outbreak of the war.

Additionally, the World Food Program warned last week that one-third of the population of Gaza had not eaten food for several consecutive days, reflecting the depth of the humanitarian catastrophe.
