SadaNews Economy - The White House announced that US President Donald Trump signed an executive order last night imposing tariffs ranging from 10% to 41% on a number of countries.
The White House stated that President Donald Trump signed an executive order increasing tariffs on Canadian goods from 25% to 35%, with the new tariffs scheduled to take effect starting August 1.
It explained that tariffs on Israel, Turkey, Venezuela, and Cameroon will be 15%, while it will be 30% on South Africa, 39% on Switzerland, 19% on Pakistan, and 20% on Bangladesh.
A schedule published by the White House included a list of tariffs, revealing that Iraq, Libya, Tunisia, and Jordan will receive reductions ranging from 1% to 5%, while the rate for Syria remains at 41% and Algeria at 30%.
The new tariff rate for Iraq is 35%, down from 39%, for Libya it is 30% after being 31%, for Tunisia it is 25% down from 28%, and for Jordan it is 15% down from the previous rate of 20%.
Below are the new adjusted tariff rates announced by Trump with the deadline set for August 1 for negotiating trade agreements.
Imports from some countries, such as Brazil, are subject to additional tariffs that will be added to the countervailing duties listed below.

The White House confirmed earlier that Trump will proceed with implementing his decision this time and will not grant any new extension, as he did on two previous occasions since he launched his "reciprocal tariffs" on April 2 on dozens of trade partners.
Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social" on Wednesday: "The deadline on August 1 is August 1, firm and will not be extended. A great day for America!!!".
Later, the president took a series of rapid trade actions, including issuing executive orders to impose a 50% tariff on Brazil, implementing new tariffs on semi-finished copper products, and ending the customs exemption granted to low-value parcels coming from abroad.
