Incursions and Arrests in the West Bank

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces continued their escalating military campaign on Tuesday in various parts of the West Bank, through incursions, arrests, and demolition operations, alongside direct targeting of Palestinians which led to the fall of martyrs, including those left to bleed to death, amidst clear collusion from settlers.

In Hebron governorate, the General Authority for Civil Affairs informed the Ministry of Health about the martyrdom of young man Awda Muhammad Khalil Al-Hdhalin (31 years old) on Tuesday morning, due to his injuries from settler gunfire in the village of Umm al-Khair east of Yatta on Monday evening.

Prior to this, young man Muhammad Samer Suleiman Al-Jamal (27 years old) was martyred after being shot by occupation forces at the northern entrance of Hebron city and was left bleeding for hours after paramedics were prevented from reaching him. He was later announced dead and his body was detained. Thus, the martyr count in Hebron during less than 24 hours rises to two.

This coincided with a series of raids carried out by the occupation forces in several areas, most notably in the city of Tulkarem and the towns of Bal'a and Anabta, where legislative council member Fathi Qarawi was arrested, along with seven of his family members and his brother-in-law Hazem Al-Qaisi, after storming their homes.

In the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, young man Mahdi Ahmad Taqatqa was arrested, while other towns in the east and southeast of the governorate witnessed incursions without recording arrests, including: Al-Shawawra, Al-Ebiedya, Dar Salah, Zaatra, Al-Asakra, Rakhamah, Beit Falough, and Janata.

In the al-Fuwar refugee camp, south of Hebron, occupation forces arrested eight young men after violent raids and searches, while in Nablus, the area of Ras Al-Ain witnessed gunfire and an explosion coinciding with the arrest of the released prisoner Imad Al-Habash.

In Qalqilya governorate, occupation forces continued demolition and confiscation operations, as they demolished a concrete floor for a 150-square-meter building under construction belonging to the family of Abdullah Abbas Awda, and handed over notifications to stop work on three agricultural rooms for the families of Bashar Abdul Latif Taim, Muath Rashdi Balih, and Muhammad Mahmoud Muhaysin, under the pretext of "building without a permit" in areas classified as area C.

This continuous Israeli escalation in the West Bank, from field killings to demolitions and incursions and arrests, reflects a systematic policy to entrench the reality of occupation and deepen settlement, at the expense of the rights and lives of Palestinians.
