Arrest of 30 Citizens in the West Bank, Including Released Prisoners
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out arrest campaigns against citizens in the West Bank, as part of the comprehensive aggression against our people and systematic collective reprisals. Since last night until this morning, Tuesday, a campaign of arrests and field interrogation has been launched, targeting at least 30 citizens.
Among those arrested are three released prisoners from Qalqilya Governorate, who were freed under the ceasefire agreement reached in January and February of this year: (Samih Al-Shobki, Saeed Al-Fayed, and Saeed Dhiyab).
It is worth noting that the re-arrest of released prisoners, especially those released in exchanges, comes within the context of a systematic policy employed by the occupation, representing a clear and new violation of the agreement and sending a message to all those released that they will remain in the targeting and pursuit circle.
Additionally, the operations of arrests and field interrogation last night concentrated in the Al-Fawwar camp in Hebron Governorate, while the others were spread across the governorates of Ramallah, Bethlehem, Nablus, Tubas, Salfit, Tulkarem, and Qalqilya.
Meanwhile, the occupation continues to carry out wide-scale incursions and abuse, attacking detainees and their families, along with firing directly with the intent to kill, using detainees as hostages, alongside field interrogations and extensive vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes.
It is noted that the number of arrests since the beginning of the ongoing genocide in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, has surpassed (18,000) cases. This figure does not include the arrests in Gaza, which are estimated in the thousands, knowing that this tally includes those who were arrested and those who were later released.
