"Rubio": The American Vice President Will Be an Excellent Candidate in the Upcoming 2028 Elections
SadaNews - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed his belief that the current U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance will be an "excellent candidate" for the Republican Party in the 2028 presidential elections.
Rubio said in an interview with Lara Trump, the wife of the American president's son, on Fox News, in response to a question about his plans for the upcoming presidential elections: "I believe J.D. Vance will be a great candidate for the next presidential elections representing the Republican Party."
In an interview with NBC last May, U.S. President Donald Trump suggested nominating Vice President Vance for the next presidency, describing him as a "brilliant young man."
However, Trump admitted at the time that he did not wish to interfere in future election processes.
Before the last U.S. presidential elections, Trump revealed why he chose J.D. Vance as a candidate for the vice presidency.
Trump said in a television interview: "There has always been good chemistry between us. At first, J.D. was not a fan of mine, but he didn’t know me. After we got to know each other, he started to like me, maybe more than anybody else... I did endorse him in Ohio for the Senate, and he won against a very tough group... He wrote a book that was classic, but it included everything about working men and women and how they’re not treated fairly, and he was right about that. I got that... and a wonderful relationship grew."
