Washington Denies Efforts to 'Transfer' Gaza Residents to Libya
SadaNews - The United States has denied claims that it is seeking to "transfer" Palestinians from Gaza to Libya, as part of the forced displacement plan aspired to by Israel.
This was stated in a brief statement from the US Embassy in Libya, published today, Friday, through its account on the "X" platform.
The statement came in response to Israeli reports that the head of the "Mossad", David Barnea, recently met with the US envoy to the Middle East, Steve Hickey, in Washington, and sought his assistance in relocating hundreds of thousands of residents from Gaza to countries such as Libya, Ethiopia, and Indonesia.
The statement read: "The embassy (US in Tripoli) confirms that the claims that the United States is attempting to transfer Gaza residents to Libya are completely false and inciting allegations."
The remarks from the US embassy in Tripoli come despite the support that Washington has been providing to Israel in the ongoing genocide against the Gaza Strip for the past 22 months.
The war on Gaza has resulted in more than 203,000 Palestinians either martyrs or injured, most of whom are children and women, in addition to over 9,000 missing persons, as well as hundreds of thousands of displaced individuals.
