Artist Ahmed Fahmy Separates from His Wife After 28 Years of Marriage

SadaNews - The Egyptian actor and singer Ahmed Fahmy has separated from his wife, the retired artist Ameera Farraj, after a marriage that lasted 28 years, which resulted in two children, Omar and Hassan.

Ameera Farraj announced the news of her separation from Ahmed Fahmy through one of the art programs, after the spread of numerous rumors about tensions in their relationship over the past few weeks.

She explained that the separation occurred recently, under circumstances characterized by calm and mutual respect between them, especially since they have two young children.

They did not disclose the reasons for the separation

Ameera did not reveal the reasons for the separation, nor did Ahmed Fahmy, who preferred silence and staying away from the media's attention, especially since he has been trying for years to keep his family out of the spotlight. He stipulated at the beginning of his marriage to Ameera that she leave the field of art and focus on her family life.

It's worth noting that the marriage of Ahmed Fahmy and Ameera Farraj came after a love story that lasted several years, as they met at a young age. Ameera used to frequent the Egyptian opera house at the time when Fahmy had begun to professionally play and sing; she was 17 at the time. A romantic love story developed between them, leading Fahmy to propose to her, and they married four years after their engagement, with their wedding held in 1997.

During that period, Ameera Farraj studied media in the Faculty of Arts, intending to pursue a career in the arts; however, her husband Ahmed Fahmy asked her to dedicate herself to family life, especially since they had welcomed their first child "Omar."

Separation of Ahmed El Sakka.. and Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz

Ameera Farraj worked as a television correspondent for one of the satellite channels, but she decided to devote herself to raising her two sons after giving birth to her second child "Hassan."

This separation comes days after the announcement of artist Karim Mahmoud Abdel Aziz's separation from his wife Ann Al-Rifai, after a marriage that lasted 14 years and resulted in three children.

It also comes about a month after artist Ahmed El Sakka announced his divorce from his wife, the media figure Maha El-Saghir, after a marriage that lasted 26 years and resulted in three children: Yassin, Hamza, and Nadia, which shocked the public and the artistic community.
