According to the Bangladesh National News Agency, the special assistant to the Chief Advisor of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Syed Rahman, stated that "so far the toll is 27 dead, including 25 children and one pilot.
A spokesperson from the Bangladesh Fire Service indicated that the victims died as a result of a training aircraft from the air force crashing into an educational complex that includes a college and a school in the capital, Dhaka, yesterday, Monday.
It is noteworthy that this incident occurred more than a month after a plane belonging to the Indian airline "Air India" crashed above a medical college dormitory in the nearby city of Ahmedabad, resulting in the death of 241 out of 242 passengers on board, and 19 people on the ground, marking the worst aviation disaster in the world in the past 10 years.
