Iran and the European Troika Agree to Resume Nuclear Negotiations
SadaNews - The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported that an agreement has been reached between Iran, Germany, France, and Britain to resume nuclear negotiations.
The source added that the agreement was made on the principle of resuming negotiations, but consultations are still ongoing regarding the timing and location, noting that the date and place of the next round have not yet been determined.
Earlier, "Tasnim" learned that Iran is considering a request from three European countries to resume negotiations on the nuclear issue and lift sanctions.
According to the agency, these negotiations are expected to be held at the level of assistant foreign ministers of Iran and the three European countries.
The "National Interest" magazine speculated that Iran is hurrying to manufacture nuclear weapons amidst the stagnation in negotiations with the United States and the failure to reach an agreement regarding the Iranian nuclear file.
It is noteworthy that the three European countries were parties to the agreement on the Iranian nuclear program that was reached in 2015, which collapsed after the United States withdrew from it in 2018.
Last June, the leaders of the "Troika" urged Iran not to undertake any actions that could "destabilize" the region following the U.S. strike on nuclear facilities in Iran.
