SadaNews - The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems destroyed 73 drones launched by Ukraine overnight, three of which were heading towards Moscow.
In a statement released today, Friday: "During the night, from 23:00 Moscow time on July 17 to 07:00 Moscow time on July 18, air defense systems destroyed 73 Ukrainian drones, including 31 drones over the Bryansk region and 17 drones over the Oryol region.
Additionally, 10 drones were destroyed over the suburbs of Moscow, three of which were flying towards Moscow, four drones over the Republic of Crimea, three drones over the waters of the Sea of Azov, and two drones over the territories of the Smolensk and Nizhny Novgorod regions.
This also includes one drone over the territories of the Belgorod, Kaluga, Voronezh regions and over the waters of the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, Moscow's mayor Sergey Sobyanin did not mention any injuries or damages in a post on Telegram, but stated that emergency services are combing the area where debris from a drone fell.
No comment has yet been issued by Ukraine regarding these attacks.
Kyiv says its strikes inside Russia are necessary to destroy the critical infrastructure supporting Moscow's war effort.
