Trump Threatens to Sue 'Wall Street Journal' Over Obscene Epstein Letter
SadaNews - Last night, U.S. President Donald Trump announced his intention to sue the 'Wall Street Journal' for publishing a "false, malicious, and defamatory" article stating that the real estate mogul sent a letter with obscene content and a drawing of a nude woman to American businessman Jeffrey Epstein in 2003.
In a post on his social media platform 'Truth Social', the Republican billionaire stated that "President Trump will soon sue the Wall Street Journal, News Corp, and (Robert) Murdoch", the owner of the media group, confirming that he had warned them "personally" before the article was published on Thursday. The newspaper did not publish an image of the letter but confirmed that it had seen it and described its obscene content.
According to the article, which quickly spread throughout Washington, the letter signed by Trump was part of a group of letters received by Epstein in 2003 for his 50th birthday. In his post, Trump expressed regret that the newspaper insisted on publishing a "false, malicious, and defamatory article" despite his warning, asserting that "if there were an ounce of truth in Epstein's deception, this information would have been revealed long ago" by his political opponents.
According to the newspaper, Epstein's partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, had asked dozens of his close friends, including Trump, who was then a real estate mogul, to contribute to a book in the form of a guest register prepared as a gift for her partner on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
On that day, Trump contributed a letter containing similar obscene content to the other letters included in the book. Trump's letter, according to the Wall Street Journal, is a typewritten text that spans several lines and is surrounded by a drawing of a nude woman. The newspaper noted that Trump signed the letter in handwriting below the woman's waist, making his signature appear as if it was her pubic hair.
Jeffrey Epstein was found hanged in his cell in New York on August 10, 2019, before his trial for sexual crimes.
