Ben Gvir: I Do Not Want to Overthrow the Government for the Left
SadaNews - Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir defended his reasons for not withdrawing from the government despite his disagreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, stating that he does not want to overthrow the government to bring the left to power.
He added, "Netanyahu has flaws, but (opposition leader Yair) Lapid is a shallow person, and he cannot be a prime minister," as he described.
He continued, "The kidnapped are my brothers, and I will do everything I can to secure their release, but I will not endanger an entire nation, our soldiers, and the residents of the south."
He said, "I will tell Netanyahu that we can achieve victory by stopping aid, controlling Gaza, and encouraging voluntary immigration."
For its part, Channel 12 reported that National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir is increasing pressure against the exchange deal and is working behind the scenes to undermine it, having spoken with several Likud ministers in an attempt to persuade them to oppose the deal.
