California: Bodies of All Missing Persons Found in Fireworks Warehouse Explosion

SadaNews - The authorities of Yolo County in California, USA, announced the discovery of the bodies of all seven individuals who went missing following the violent explosion at a fireworks warehouse last week.

The county authorities stated in an official announcement released on Sunday: "All human remains have been found within the site of the charred warehouse," noting that the identities of the victims will be withheld until their families are officially notified.

The statement added that emergency teams continue to work on removing the remaining explosive hazards at the site, while the causes of the explosion remain under investigation.

The explosion occurred on Tuesday at a warehouse located in Yolo County, about 64 kilometers northwest of Sacramento, resulting in a series of successive explosions and the collapse of the building, as well as the outbreak of other scattered fires in the area, prompting authorities to issue evacuation orders. Officials reported that seven individuals were listed as missing.

According to officials, two other people were injured in the incident and received medical care, while the local community in the quiet agricultural town of Esparto was overcome with grief.

The warehouse is operated by "Devastating Pyrotechnics," a company specialized in designing fireworks displays and has over 30 years of experience, according to an archived version of its website before it was shut down.

In a statement issued last week, the company expressed its "sincere condolences to the families of the victims and everyone affected by this tragedy," confirming that their focus will remain on the affected individuals and that they will fully cooperate with authorities in the ongoing investigations.
