West Bank: Raids.. Arrests and Injuries Due to Settler Attacks
SadaNews - Several Palestinians, including children, were injured early on Sunday during extensive raids conducted by Israeli occupation forces in various areas of the West Bank, accompanied by clashes and arrests, as well as assaults by settler gangs on Palestinians and their property.
Local sources reported that the occupation army fired tear gas canisters at Palestinian homes in the town of Al-Khadr south of Bethlehem, resulting in injuries to several Palestinians, including children.
The occupation forces also carried out a campaign of arrests in Bethlehem and in Nablus, where the Prisoners' Club reported that an Israeli military force stormed the city from the Awarta checkpoint and raided a house in the Upper Dahiya area.
In Hebron, the occupation forces launched an arrest campaign in the city and set up a checkpoint near the junction of Sa'ir town. They also heavily stormed the Al-Aroub camp and the town of Beit Ummar north of the city.
The occupation forces also raided the town of Al-Mazra'a al-Gharbiya north of Ramallah and the Shu'fat neighborhood in Tulkarem, carrying out several arrests.
In the city of Qalqilya in the northern West Bank, the occupation forces stormed the city from its eastern entrance, leading to clashes with youth on Nablus Street.
In the northern Jordan Valley, settlers forced Palestinian shepherds to leave the pastures on Sunday morning and chased their livestock east of the Al-Farisiyah area.
Human rights activist Aref Daraghmeh confirmed that these assaults are part of a continuous escalation by settlers against Palestinians and their property, amid fears of attempts to displace them to empty the area in favor of settlement expansion.
