Al-Hilal Saudi Club Signs Moroccan Abderrazak Hamdallah for the Club World Cup
SadaNews - On Wednesday, Al-Hilal Saudi Club signed Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah from Al-Shabab on loan, to strengthen the squad of the "Leader" in the Club World Cup, currently being held in the United States.
The Saudi club stated in a tweet on its official X account: "Moroccan Abderrazak Hamdallah joins Al-Hilal on loan."
It added in another tweet that "Abderrazak Hamdallah will begin training with Al-Hilal today in Orlando."
The signing of the 34-year-old player came to compensate for the shortage in the team's attacking line, with the absence of Serbian Aleksandar Mitrovic and team captain Salman Al-Dossari due to injury, as well as doubts about the readiness of Brazilian Marcos Leonardo.
Leonardo excelled in the Round of 16 match against Manchester City after scoring two goals in the historic 4-3 victory, advancing to the quarter-finals against Brazilian Fluminense.
Hamdallah joined Al-Hilal's camp in Orlando on Wednesday afternoon (US time) to immediately participate in training, in preparation for the upcoming match against Fluminense on Friday at the "Camping World" stadium in Florida.
The Saudi Football Association showed great flexibility in finalizing the deal after announcing its approval to advance the registration date, beginning player registrations on July 3, so that Hamdallah could join the Leader.
Hamdallah, the third top scorer in the Saudi Pro League last season with 21 goals, is expected to return to Al-Shabab after the conclusion of the Club World Cup competitions.
