The Palestinian Union of Industries Signs a Memorandum of Understanding to Enhance Social Responsibility and Support Industrial Development in Palestine
SadaNews - As part of enhancing national partnerships and activating the role of social responsibility, the Palestinian Union of Industries, represented by its Chairman Nasar Nasar, has signed a memorandum of understanding and strategic cooperation with Dr. Mamoun Rashid, the representative of the Gift of the Givers Foundation in Palestine, aimed at supporting sustainable development and strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian economy.

The memorandum aims to direct the social responsibility contributions of the industrial sector towards more sustainable and impactful programs, through the implementation of joint initiatives, most notably: designing and executing specialized vocational and technical training programs linked to real employment opportunities within industrial establishments; supporting economic empowerment and entrepreneurship projects for underprivileged groups; enhancing the marketing of Palestinian products and opening channels for foreign trade; directing contributions from the industrial sector within social responsibility programs towards sustainable development projects; supporting community and student initiatives; and working on establishing a comprehensive national production platform to support producers and entrepreneurs and enhance the competitiveness of the Palestinian industry.
The Chairman of the Palestinian Union of Industries emphasized that this partnership represents a qualitative strategic step, "The signing of this strategic memorandum is an important milestone in enhancing the integration between the industrial sector and international development institutions, transforming social responsibility from its traditional framework to sustainable development programs that make a tangible impact in our community."
He added:
"The significance of this partnership lies in developing human competencies through specialized vocational and technical training programs targeting youth and women, linking training to actual employment within industrial establishments, alongside opening new horizons for foreign trade, enhancing the presence of Palestinian products in international markets, and working on creating a national production platform that supports producers and entrepreneurs."
For his part, Dr. Mamoun Rashid, representative of the Gift of the Givers Foundation in Palestine, stated:
"Through this partnership, we aim to leverage our global expertise to support community development in Palestine, through sustainable development programs targeting the most in need, especially women and youth, focusing on linking training with employment opportunities and enhancing small productive projects, achieving a tangible and sustainable impact positively reflected on the Palestinian community and the national economy."
The Chairman of the Union pointed out that this initiative will contribute to bridging the skills gap in the labor market, increasing production efficiency, and enhancing the sustainability of the industrial sector, affirming that:
"Our goal is for the Palestinian industry to be not only an economic driver but also a fundamental pillar for social empowerment and self-reliance."
