"Statistics": Exports Increased by 22% in January
SadaNews - The Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics announced that exports in January 2026 increased by 22% compared to January 2025, reaching a value of 171.2 million dollars.
The "Statistics" reported that exports to Israel rose by 26% during January 2026 compared to January 2025, with exports to Israel accounting for 93% of the total export value for January 2026. Meanwhile, exports to the rest of the world decreased by 15% compared to January 2025.
Commodity Imports
Imports increased by 15% in January 2026 compared to January 2025, reaching a value of 710.4 million dollars.
Imports from Israel also rose by 26% in January 2026 compared to January 2025, constituting 61% of the total import value for January 2026. Additionally, imports from the rest of the world increased by 1% compared to January 2025.
Trade Balance of Observed Goods
The trade balance, which represents the difference between exports and imports, recorded an increase in the value of the deficit by 13% in January 2026 compared to January 2025, with the deficit amounting to 539.2 million dollars.
