The construction costs for residential buildings in the West Bank* recorded a slight decrease of 0.04% during January 2026 compared to December 2025; the index of construction costs for residential buildings decreased to 118.75 compared to 118.80 during the previous month (base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices for the equipment rental group recorded a decrease of 1.06%, while the prices for the raw materials and primary materials groups and the labor costs and wages group remained stable during January 2026 compared to the previous month.
Slight decrease in the price index of construction costs for non-residential buildings
The construction costs for non-residential buildings in the West Bank* recorded a slight decrease of 0.02% during January 2026 compared to December 2025; the index of construction costs for non-residential buildings decreased to 117.63 compared to 117.65 during the previous month (base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices for the equipment rental group recorded a decrease of 0.98%, while the prices for the raw materials and primary materials group increased slightly by 0.01%, while the prices for the labor costs and wages group remained stable during January 2026 compared to the previous month.
Slight decrease in the price index of construction costs for skeleton buildings
The construction costs for skeleton buildings in the West Bank* recorded a slight decrease of 0.01% during January 2026 compared to December 2025; the index of construction costs for skeleton buildings decreased to 115.83 compared to 115.84 during the previous month (base year 2013=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices for the equipment rental group recorded a decrease of 1.05%, while the prices for the raw materials and primary materials group increased slightly by 0.05%, while the prices for the labor costs and wages group remained stable during January 2026 compared to the previous month.
Decrease in the price index of road construction costs
The construction costs for various types of roads in the West Bank* recorded a decrease of 0.58% during January 2026 compared to December 2025; the overall index of road construction costs decreased to 111.93 compared to 112.58 during the previous month (base month December 2008=100).
At the level of major groups, the prices for the equipment operation and maintenance costs group recorded a decrease of 2.67%, the prices for the raw materials and primary materials group recorded a decrease of 0.70%, and the prices for the equipment rental group recorded a decrease of 0.48%, while the prices for the labor costs and wages group remained stable during January 2026 compared to the previous month.
Decrease in the general index of water network construction costs
The construction costs for water networks in the West Bank* recorded a decrease of 0.20% during January 2026 compared to December 2025; the index of construction costs for water networks decreased to 125.15 compared to 125.40 during the previous month (base month January 2010=100).
At the level of water network prices, the index recorded a decrease of 0.33%, decreasing to 130.82 compared to 131.25 during the previous month, while the prices for water tanks increased by 0.13%, rising to 112.68 compared to 112.53 during the previous month.
Decrease in the general index of sewage network construction costs
The construction costs for sewage networks in the West Bank* recorded a decrease of 0.56% during January 2026 compared to December 2025; the index decreased to 113.26 compared to 113.90 during the previous month (base month January 2010=100).
