Oman: Ministerial Decision to Establish the "Palestinian Endowment Foundation" with a Capital of One Million Omani Rials for Social Solidarity
SadaNews - The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in the Sultanate of Oman has issued ministerial decision No. (78/2026) regarding the establishment of the Palestinian Endowment Foundation, after it met the legal and procedural requirements approved according to the regulations governing the work of endowment institutions.
The decision stipulated that the founding capital of the institution will be one million Omani rials, allocated as a sustainable endowment aimed at enabling the institution to implement its programs and initiatives on solid financial bases, ensuring the sustainability of its impact and enhancing institutional effectiveness in serving the Palestinian community.
The ministry confirmed that the establishment of the foundation comes as part of efforts to support and develop the endowment sector, which is considered one of the vital arms in enhancing the social solidarity system and expanding the protection umbrella for the poor and needy, especially in light of the escalating economic and social challenges faced by the Palestinian people.
This decision is part of ongoing efforts to develop the legal and institutional environment for endowment work in Palestine, enhancing transparency and governance, and opening the door for qualitative endowment initiatives capable of making a tangible impact on the lives of citizens.
