Palestinian Prime Minister Participates in Davos Economic Forum 2026
SadaNews - Palestinian Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa participated in the opening of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum 2026, held in Davos, Switzerland, from January 19 to 23, accompanied by the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Switzerland and United Nations Organizations, Ibrahim Khreisheh. The forum is themed "Spirit of Dialogue," with a broad attendance including leaders from more than 60 countries and governments, and over 800 representatives from international organizations and major global companies.
The Prime Minister began his participation by attending the opening session alongside heads of the participating delegations, during which the Chairman of the Davos Economic Forum, Borg Brende, and the President of the Swiss Confederation delivered speeches on the latest international developments and the importance of international cooperation to ensure stability and security at both political and economic levels.
Mustafa is set to hold several meetings on the sidelines of the conference to garner international support for the Palestinian cause and people, including a special discussion session on Gaza, the upcoming phase, the peace process, and the risks of economic collapse in Palestine due to occupation measures, in addition to the situation in the West Bank and the Palestinian government's efforts in development, reform, and institutional enhancement.
