Israeli Opposition Leader Criticizes Upcoming Agreement with Iran

SadaNews - Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid stated that the potential agreement between Iran and the United States does not achieve any goals of the Israeli war.

Lapid pointed out that the Iranian regime and its missile program are still intact, and that Iran is still able to rebuild its nuclear program.

He also considered the forthcoming agreement between Iran and the United States a complete failure for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Saturday that a preliminary agreement to end the war in the Middle East will be signed on Sunday.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif mentioned that the two parties have agreed on a framework for a peace agreement, and that Islamabad is preparing to sign electronically on Sunday, followed by technical level talks next week.

Sources from all parties involved in the talks indicated that the proposed memorandum of understanding calls for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and lifting the U.S. naval blockade on Iranian ports.

Negotiations regarding the Iranian nuclear program, which was the reason for Trump to initiate the war, will take place subsequently.

Draft conditions disclosed by multiple sources to Reuters indicate that the United States will begin to release billions of dollars in frozen Iranian assets and will lift sanctions on Tehran's crude oil exports in exchange for Iran opening the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian nuclear program will be addressed during a negotiation period lasting 60 days.

According to an American official, the agreement will ultimately lead to the dismantling of the Iranian nuclear program, with the destruction and removal of the high-enriched uranium stockpile.
