Smotrich Calls for Demolition of Buildings in the Southern Suburb of Beirut
SadaNews: Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu today to demolish buildings in the southern suburb of Beirut, in response to the launch of two drones towards settlements in the north.
He added: "We are going through critical days that will determine the shape of the future for many coming years. We have promised the residents of the north security, and we must keep this promise!".
In this context, former Prime Minister Ehud Barak stated on official Israeli radio that Netanyahu might resort to heavily bombing Nabatieh and the southern suburb in order to draw Iran into a new ongoing confrontation, aiming to cancel or postpone the upcoming elections.
He added that if he does this, the Israelis will have no choice but to expel him with "sticks and stones".
