Fuel Prices to Increase by 7 Agorot in Israel Starting Next Month
SadaNews Economy - Fuel prices will rise starting midnight Tuesday to Wednesday next week (September 30 – October 1, 2025), as announced by the Israeli Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure today, Sunday.
The ministry reported that the maximum price for a liter of 95 octane unleaded gasoline at self-service stations will reach 7.23 shekels (including VAT), an increase of 7 agorot compared to the previous month.
The ministry clarified that the cost of full service will remain unchanged at 25 agorot per liter, while the new price will be applied across all regulated fuel stations.
In the city of Eilat, the maximum price for a liter of 95 octane gasoline at self-service (excluding VAT) will be 6.13 shekels, an increase of 6 agorot, while the cost of full service will see an increase of 21 agorot per liter.
It stated that "the price increase is due to a 2% rise in the international price of gasoline, in addition to a 1.2% increase in the exchange rate of the dollar compared to last month," urging consumers to compare prices among stations to choose the best option.
The ministry pointed out that the final price for a liter of gasoline consists of: the excise tax (blu) which accounts for about 50% of the price, marketing expenses (9%), value-added tax (15%), along with the international price of fuel (26%).
