Consumer Association Delegation Briefs Economy Minister on Final Preparations for Launching the Association

SadaNews Economy - Yesterday, National Economy Minister Abu Youssef Al-Amour received a delegation from the Consumer Association for Public Employees, headed by Bassam Zakarneh, the association's president. The delegation included Dr. Faisal Al-Attari, the treasurer, and Haidar Hijja, chairman of the standards and specifications authority.

The minister confirmed the government's full support for the launch of the association and its interest in providing the necessary facilities for civil and military employees.

Bassam Zakarneh provided a comprehensive overview during the meeting of the achievements made so far in launching the association, based on the points and directives agreed upon in the previous meeting with the Prime Minister. He also presented the association's vision for launching in collaboration with the private sector to ensure the sustainability of work and expand the range of services provided to employees.

The delegation updated Minister Al-Amour on the results of their recent visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which included reviewing the experiences of both the civil and military consumer associations, as well as the experience of the Jordan Charity Organization to benefit from the best international practices in this field.

Minister Al-Amour praised the project, emphasizing that the government pays great attention to supporting civil and military employees and that the Cabinet will carefully consider the association's demands. He stressed that the government will not hesitate to support the association and provide the necessary facilities to ensure its success and launch it on solid professional foundations.

Also participating in the meeting were Dr. Bashar Al-Sayfi, Deputy Minister of National Economy, Ibrahim Al-Qadi, Director General of Consumer Protection, and several other directors general from the ministry.
