
Opening of a New Branch of the Traffic Department and a Dynamometer Testing Center in Rawabi City
SadaNews Economy - In a significant step aimed at enhancing the government service infrastructure and facilitating citizens' lives, a branch of the Traffic Department and the "Rawabi Dynamometer" technical inspection center for vehicles was opened in Rawabi City, in the presence of the Minister of Local Government Dr. Sami Hijjawi, the assistant undersecretary for directorate affairs representing the Ministry of Transport and Communications Yahya Akoubah, and the Mayor of Rawabi, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Natour.
The opening of the Traffic Department branch in Q Center Rawabi is part of the ministry's plan to expand its directorates and offices network, aiming to provide integrated services to citizens with high efficiency and quality, including bringing these services closer to their places of residence. Additionally, the dynamometer testing center located in the city's industrial area aims to serve the residents of Rawabi and the neighboring towns and villages, providing time and effort savings for citizens by enabling them to perform periodic inspections, legal transactions, and accurate technical diagnostics of their vehicles at a nearby and advanced location, adhering to the highest professional and technical standards.
Commenting on the opening, Minister Hijjawi emphasized that the opening of the vehicle inspection center and the Traffic Department branch in Rawabi represents an effective model for the integration of efforts between public institutions, local authorities, and the private sector, within a national vision aiming to develop decentralised services and enhance development in various areas, pointing out that these projects not only meet the needs of Rawabi's residents but also extend their effects to include the surrounding communities, contributing to improving the quality of life.
For his part, Assistant Akoubah expressed his pride in this step, explaining that it falls within the ministry's plan to expand its technical and administrative service network, ensuring its reach to various regions with high efficiency and quality. He pointed out that the vehicle inspection center in Rawabi is one of the most advanced centers in Palestine, and the opening of a Traffic Department branch alongside it will facilitate citizens in conducting periodic inspections and completing official transactions in one integrated location, which is expected to improve the daily experience of citizens.
Engineer Al-Natour stated: "The opening of the dynamometer center and the Traffic Department branch represents a qualitative addition to the service infrastructure of the city. It reflects our commitment to providing a comprehensive urban environment that serves the residents of Rawabi and the neighboring villages and towns alike. This step also falls within our vision as a smart and integrated city that offers modern and advanced services in various fields, in line with the modernity standards we strive to establish as part of an integrated and safe living experience."
The inspection center spans over 2,700 square meters and includes advanced technical equipment capable of handling various types of vehicles.
Both facilities will employ a trained professional staff according to the Ministry of Transport standards, subject to continuous training to ensure the best level of service for citizens. The opening of these two vital facilities is also expected to relieve pressure on technical and administrative centers in the neighboring cities, facilitating citizens' access to reliable modern services in an organized and modern environment, and in the fastest possible time.
