Hebron Governor: The cost of maintaining the pipeline in Deir Sha'ar area reached 3 million shekels, and water thieves will pay this amount
SadaNews - Hebron Governor Khaled Dudin announced that the cost of maintenance and restoration of the pipeline in Deir Sha'ar area has reached three million shekels.
This announcement came during the Governor's meeting with representatives of the security apparatus and the Palestinian Water Authority this Sunday afternoon, in coordination with judicial authorities.
Dudin stated that those who will pay this amount are the water thieves against whom charges of theft from the pipeline have been proven, and the amounts of water stolen have been estimated by the Water Authority since 2016.
He added that this decision comes as part of protecting our people's resources from vandals and imposing the harshest legal penalties against them.
