
Ministry of National Economy and the European Union Discuss Development of Trade Crossing Infrastructure
Sada News - The Ministry of National Economy and the European Union confirmed today, Wednesday, the necessity of developing the infrastructure of trade crossings in line with the requirements for developing the Palestinian economy.
This came during an expanded meeting chaired by Minister of National Economy Mohamed Al-Amour, with the participation of representatives from the European Union led by the Head of Cooperation at the EU, Ibrahim Al-Afiya, to review the results of the feasibility study for developing the infrastructure of trade crossings in Palestine, which was prepared by an international team of experts funded by the European Union.
The study, the results of which were presented at the ministry's headquarters in the presence of representatives from both the public and private sectors in Palestine, aims to assess the possibilities of establishing infrastructure to enhance trade, contributing to strengthening the independence of the Palestinian economy and facilitating its integration into regional and international markets.
For their part, EU representatives reiterated their commitment to supporting Palestine in developing its trade infrastructure and enhancing its ability to access global markets, emphasizing that such initiatives contribute to strengthening the Palestinian economic resilience.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants recommended following up on the implementation steps and forming a working team from all relevant partners to coordinate efforts in implementing the recommendations.
