Launch of a Strategic Partnership Between the Palestinian Monetary Authority and the Network of Businesswomen and Professionals

SadaNews - The Palestinian Monetary Authority and the Businesswomen and Professionals Network - Palestine (BPW - Palestine) held a meeting in which they agreed to launch a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing financial inclusion and the contribution of women to strengthening financial stability and economic growth in Palestine.

The meeting was opened by the Governor of the Monetary Authority, Yahya Shanar, in the presence of the President of the Businesswomen and Professionals Network, Dr. Dalia Arikat, members of the Board of Directors of the Businesswomen and Professionals Network - Palestine (BPW - Palestine), and members of its general assembly from the Women and Economy Department, as well as specialists in financial, banking, and technological matters.

The Governor of the Monetary Authority emphasized that empowering women economically is a top priority for the Authority, which has worked through its various departments and programs to enhance financial inclusion for women and facilitate their access to funding services.

The governor pointed to several initiatives and programs launched by the Monetary Authority in this context, such as the "Bader for Working Women" program within the Green Line and settlements (with funding reaching up to 60,000 shekels), and the "Start Now" program targeting entrepreneurial women and business owners, in addition to other funding programs such as "Sustainability" and "Sustainability+". The Monetary Authority also provides technical and advisory support and free consultations for project owners, especially women, through the "My Business" platform, which has facilitated their access to funding sources and provided them with the necessary facilities and training programs.

For its part, the Businesswomen and Professionals Network - Palestine (BPW-Palestine) stressed its role as a catalyst for change at the decision-making levels and to support women's presence in the national economy by representing women in various boards of directors and decision-making positions.

Dr. Dalia Arikat, President of the Network's Board, confirmed that collaboration with the Monetary Authority will enhance women's leadership and economic initiatives in partnership with the Ministry of Women's Affairs and in synergy between the public and private sectors and civil society, based on the network's belief that uplifting the role of women and their active participation in economic decision-making can only be achieved through strategic partnerships with leading national institutions, foremost among them the Monetary Authority.

The meeting concluded with both sides affirming their commitment to moving forward with joint initiatives that facilitate women's access to funding and banking services and support their active economic presence in the national development process.
