Economic Media Alliance Discusses Banking Reality with the Monetary Authority
SadaNews - The Economic Media Alliance held a press meeting with the Palestinian Monetary Authority, attended by the Governor of the Monetary Authority Yahya Shanar, his deputy Mohammad Mnasra, and several department managers at the Monetary Authority. Various issues related to the banking sector in Palestine were discussed, with a special focus on the banking situation in the Gaza Strip amidst the current exceptional conditions.
The Monetary Authority reviewed updates on the financial and banking situation in the sector, including measures taken to ensure the continuity of banking services despite the imposed restrictions, in addition to discussing the phenomenon of high commissions that some traders charge citizens on financial transactions.
During the meeting, the Monetary Authority emphasized its commitment to working together with various parties, including economic media, to highlight the challenges facing the banking sector, enhance transparency in financial transactions, and protect citizens' rights in all areas, including the Gaza Strip.
