
Minister of Industry Discusses Ways to Enhance Industrial and Economic Cooperation with the German Representation
SadaNews Economy - The Minister of Industry, Arafat Asfour, met today with Ruth Müller, Deputy Head of Development Cooperation at the German Representation, to discuss prospects for industrial and economic cooperation and ways to develop and strengthen bilateral relations between Palestine and Germany.
During the meeting, Minister Asfour reviewed the grave challenges facing the Palestinian people, especially in light of the ongoing genocide and the use of starvation as a weapon of war in the Gaza Strip, in addition to the ongoing daily violations in the West Bank, including Jerusalem.
He affirmed that the illegal occupation represents the main obstacle to achieving comprehensive and sustainable industrial development.
He addressed the ministry's efforts to support and develop the industrial sector, by working on updating legislative frameworks, improving the quality of services provided to investors and industrialists, and enhancing their efficiency through digital transformation, in addition to following up on the work of industrial zone projects in various governorates.
For her part, Müller confirmed the German government's interest in expanding the scope of cooperation between the two countries and enhancing existing partnerships in the industrial sector, praising the interventions of the Ministry of Industry to advance the industrial and economic sector and enhance investment and employment opportunities.
This meeting is part of ongoing efforts to develop international partnerships and support sustainable economic development in Palestine, through cooperation with international partners.
